Oral Health America

Oral Health America (OHA) is a national non-profit organization, based in Chicago, which seeks to improve the mouth health of Americans across the lifecycle—especially those most vulnerable. OHA acts as an umbrella organization for 4 key programs: Campaign for Oral Health Equity, Smiles Across America®, NSTEP® (National Spit Tobacco Education Program) and the Wisdom Tooth Project®.

Through these programs, OHA reaches 400,000 children annually to provide preventive dental services. OHA has a commitment to America’s Promise Alliance, founded by Colin and Alma Powell, to seal 2,000,000 teeth by 2020 to ensure children are healthy and ready to learn. OHA partners with Little League International to deliver education to over 350,000 families during Little League World Series about the dangers of smokeless tobacco. Oral Health America is also developing tools and building partnerships to address our aging population’s oral health care needs.

Whether through grants, educational webinars or product donations that help lower operating costs, our mission is simple and clear: to connect communities with resources so that the best partners do the best job on the ground in helping the American public to be healthy, to be free of pain, to learn, to be employable and to enjoy self-esteem.
