Medicaid CHIP State Dental Association
The Medicaid CHIP State Dental Association (MSDA) is the national organization representing state Medicaid and CHIP dental programs. MSDA is the leading authority on state Medicaid and CHIP dental program quality, policy and financing issues. The Medicaid CHIP State Dental Association's mission is to promote policies and best practice models that improve Medicaid and CHIP oral health program quality, processes and services. The association was founded in May 2004, in Los Angeles, at a national meeting of state Medicaid representatives. Attendees voted to form an association that would advocate for the delivery of quality oral health care services for Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries. Regular membership is open to all state and federal Medicaid and CHIP dental program representatives. Associate membership is open to representatives from the dental and medical provider, education, payer, policy maker, and philanthropic communities. Associate membership and corporate sponsorship are also available and open to individuals, groups and corporations who share MSDA’s vision that all Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries receive quality and cost appropriate oral health care services.
