American Dental Association
The American Dental Association is your advocate for a healthy mouth for life. Nearly 7 out of 10 dentists in the U.S. are ADA members. As doctors of oral health, one of our primary goals is to help you defend against oral disease. Oral health is an important part of your overall health, so it’s important that you and your family practice daily preventive care such as brushing twice a day, flossing daily, eating a balanced diet and visiting your dentist regularly.
MouthHealthy.org, the consumer website of the American Dental Association, is dedicated to helping you better understand the importance of your oral health and how to maintain it. Good oral health involves much more than brushing and flossing, which is why MouthHealthy.org is organized by life stages and includes A-Z oral health topics, the Top 10 Dental Symptoms, information on dental emergencies, how to find an ADA member dentist and more. There are also videos, tips, activities and even a special section for kids. At MouthHealthy we're not only here to help you and your smile look healthy, but to actually be Mouth Healthy for Life.
